The creator of Vokalypso

Derwin Vallie aka Vallie Gihdem, is a Caribbean-born artist, music producer, and composer whose work blends calypso, rapso, and modern electronic elements into a distinctive sound he calls Vokalypso. With roots in South Trinidad and creative chapters in New York and Central Florida, his music bridges cultures while celebrating Caribbean rhythm, storytelling, and social commentary.

His current releases introduce the sound of Vokalypso while building toward DouglART, an ongoing project that explores the emergence, identity, and cultural spirit of the Dougla people.
